Friday’s TransTalk
Thank you to everyone who attended the ITSO TransTalk this past Friday! ITE Midwestern District Collegiate Traffic Bowl 2012
ITSO is looking for participants for the 2012 ITE Midwestern District Collegiate Traffic Bowl. Please see the flyer below for more information. We need 3-4 members to form a team, so please email itso@umn.edu if you are interested in attending the event (which runs from June 24-27 in Chicago, IL).
CSE Student Organization Fair Award
ITSO had a strong showing at yesterday’s CSE Student Organization Fair (sponsored by the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers). Amongst the more than 30 exhibitors displaying at the event, ITSO came out with a 1st place award for the best exhibit. Thank you for all who turned out yesterday to help make the fair a success!

Topic: Project update on the Bottineau Transitway
Speaker: Kim Zlimen
About: Kim is a professional engineer in Hennepin County’s Housing, Community Works, & Transit (HCWT) Department. Within HCWT, she is in the Engineering & Transit Planning group. This group represents the County on regional transit studies, and facilitates programs promoting alternative forms of transportation. She has been with the county for nearly two years; prior to that, she worked as an engineer for a local consulting firm for 7 years working on municipal reconstruction projects. Kim is a graduate of the civil engineering program at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She also obtained a Master of Business Administration from the U of M Carlson School in 2010.
