January 10, 2011

The Minnesota Surveyors and Engineers Society is proud to announce its 2011-12 Scholarship Program for undergraduate scholarships of $1,500 per award.   The competition is open to Minnesota residents, civil engineering sophomores, juniors and seniors at the University of Minnesota.  Our program is also offered to NDSU, MSU-Mankato, UMD, and eight other at-large schools in the midwest; we also provide scholarships to land surveying students at SCSU.

The Minnesota Surveyors of Engineers Society (MSES) will be celebrating 116 years as a society this year.  Our mission is to support civil engineering and land surveying students in transportation by providing scholarships to Minnesota residents in accredited schools.  Since the inception of this program in 1953-54, we have given undergraduate awards of $1,087,235 to 931 students; $752,085 to 701 students at the University of Minnesota.

Deadline of application & transcript is noon, February 11, to CE office.  The in-person 20 minute interviews are February 15 & 16, conducted by volunteer MSES Scholarship Committee members.

Applicants need to submit the complete application/transcript to Tiffany Ralston.  (See attachment for application form/more details about requirements.)

The MSES Scholarship Committee will select award recipients among many schools in late March.  If you have questions please contact:
